I'm on a driving trip with my family. Dad stopped at a gas station in KY and i went in to use the ladies room. Saw this old man talking to the clerk. Missed the first part but i heard him say (in really southern accent) "Ive been democrat all my life and i think it is time i switch!" The clerk nodded his head un agreement.

Kentucky used to be a Democrat State. My grandparents as well as my parents were all Democrat. If they were alive today, my Father would be jumping up and down and shaking his fists at these Ignorant people in office who call themselves Democrats. My grandmother/ mom's mother would be doing the same. This is not your family's Democrat Party that you once may have known.
THAT'S WHY I BECAME A REPUBLICAN CONSERVATIVE. Yes, I live in Kentucky; born and bred.
Had project in KY back in the '90s. Guy told me "My granddad was a democrat, my dad is a democrat, and I'll always be a democrat". I told him that the party of his grandparents is long gone, and that he seemed too conservative to support what the dem party had become. I hope he is one of them who is awake now.
Me too. I woke up; and I truly mean WOKE UP because I worked from 4 PM to 4 Am and slept until noon, so I woke up when I found out they were killing babies at birth and calling it abortions. I truly SLEPT through all that. But I promise you I will never sleep like that again.
I had a co worker that had that exact same mind set. Because her family had ALWAYS voted Democrat, she would ONLY vote for Dems. She stopped talking to me when I told her I hoped that Teddy Kennedy was burning in hell.!
Dad from KY; mom from Arkansas. Both WERE Ds; my grandparents were Ds. My parents are NO longer Ds. If my grandparents were alive there is NOTHING that today's Ds believe in that would cause my relatives to remain Ds. I've been saying what you said...this is not our grandparents' democratic party" for years now. Thank you! God bless!
