Yes, because all science, history, etc is all comped. That doesn't mean flat earth.
It doesn't require high tech equipment in order to prove a curvature to the earth, and there are many reasons why there are anomalies that appear to support the theory.
And yes, talking about the earth being flat just gets eye rolls and makes a useful technique to discredit the whole. "These dot win sites are all about white supremacy and flat earth discussion."
If it weren't objectively provable that the earth is not flat, then the discussion would be worth while. It's just not a perfect sphere like a polished marble.
Again, I am not a flat earth believer. I listen to people's thoughts and opinions purely out of respect. Especially if it's my mom! :) I am still going down rabbit holes about hollow earth. I find that very interesting.
I'm also not trying to sound like a dick about this either.
Hollow earth variations are more plausible, but for the earth to be flat causes too many problems. Now, if you look into things, a flat earth model is often used because it can be equivalent to a tangent on a sphere.
People mainly do not consider that light bends in a fluid (air) and water cannot be compressed, so areas of ocean with equal pressure will be flat. Finally, elevation doesn't tend to show a curvature because you are looking down on a sphere where detail is lost, so the result is roughly planar. (All concepts easily shown with 3d software.
The biggest issue is scale, our brains are calibrated for dealing with what is within 100m or so, moving at speeds that are physically acheiveable. Not so much in accurately conceiving 100s of square km.
