And people have caught that when he plugged up his computer to show videos he had Handbrake on it which is an open source video editing program.

Not quite video editing - just transcoding. It's most useful for copying DVDs to files on the hard drive. It's a ridiculously useful little app and I don't think its presence here is a strong indictment.
