Here's a fun exercise... google "do masks stop viruses" but set the search date to stop before January 2020...
Before COVID, it was literally a settled science thay masks do nothing to stop viruses and in fact, some studies show mask wearing INCREASES your chance of getting sick.
Since you have clearly drank the COVID KoolAide, and choose to live in fear... here is all the sourcing backing up that masks dont work...
Note, the FDA link says that surgical masks absolutely don't stop the virus but then goes on to say they recommend a cloth mask... which makes no sense... furthermore when you click the link in that article to the CDC it says they MAY help... not that they DO help...
"We know that wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection. Public health authorities define a significant exposure to Covid-19 as face-to-face contact within 6 feet with a patient with symptomatic Covid-19 that is sustained for at least a few minutes (and some say more than 10 minutes or even 30 minutes). The chance of catching Covid-19 from a passing interaction in a public space is therefore minimal. In many cases, the desire for widespread masking is a reflexive reaction to anxiety over the pandemic."
"Known patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 wore masks and coughed into a Petrie dish. “Both surgical and cotton masks seem to be ineffective in preventing the dissemination of SARS–CoV-2 from the coughs of patients with COVID-19 to the environment and external mask surface."
"Here, we review the evidence base on the effectiveness of nonpharmaceutical personal protective measures and environmental hygiene measures in nonhealthcare settings and discuss their potential inclusion in pandemic plans. Although mechanistic studies support the potential effect of hand hygiene or face masks, evidence from 14 randomized controlled trials of these measures did not support a substantial effect on transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza."
"While a surgical mask may be effective in blocking splashes and large-particle droplets, a face mask, by design, does not filter or block very small particles in the air that may be transmitted by coughs, sneezes, or certain medical procedures. Surgical masks also do not provide complete protection from germs and other contaminants because of the loose fit between the surface of the mask and your face."
No they dont. Maybe in a fully sterilized environment, like a hospital... but otherwise they dont do shit. Read the research. One of the studies refer to the use of masksnas the equivalent of a "talisman" at best. A safety blanket that makes people feel like they are safer, when they arent.
BS. There is zero evidence for this. Not to MENTION that wearing a mask if you aren't harboring an active infection is USELESS. Go somewhere else with your propaganda.

regular masks are unlikely to protect yourself, however they limit spread, which is important in closed spaces
