Now he has an entire body ache and can't go. At least he even saw the humor in that.

I thought that for events they only considered you fully vaccinated if you had survived the first two weeks after the second clot shot. Maybe that is because most adverse events are occurring in the first two weeks and they don't want a lot or visible vax injuries at public events?
