So a few weeks ago, an armed man was threatening to shoot up my local mall. Schools were locked down, etc. The police caught him. No harm done. So now the police are looking for crisis actors for tonight to help them train for future possible threats. Does the DS need another distraction? A black Friday mall shooting? Or just to scare us from going out to shop for Christmas? Just want to put this out there.

I haven't shopped on "black Friday" ever since it became a thing. I have bought a very few items online on "cyber Monday."
We don't buy a lot of presents. We make a lot. We don't even buy the Whitman Samplers any more, because they've gone from a full pound to 12 ounces and now to just 10 ounces for the same price. What we do now is buy various kinds of small candy bars and bag up our own assortments of candy for presents. We eat the leftovers.
Here's a tip: Don't ever go to Triangle Town Center mall in Raleigh, NC any time in November or December. It's almost impossible to get out of the parking lot. Too much traffic and poorly designed parking and exits. We made that mistake one time years ago. Never again. I'm glad we don't live anywhere near that place.
