To back this up - I grew up close to a major airport and am still in the area now. In western Canada. I am used to the sound of airplanes and it was actually pretty strange when they stopped.

Now they are kind of running again, but who the hell is doing all of the taking off and landing at 1-2 am? This was never a thing before.
