That's part of the problem. There hasn't been an honest assessment by MSM or people in general, in ages. Ever told a dirty joke, had too much to drink, or made a bad choice or two, before you turned 30? What if the light went on in your head sometime in your 20's, and you went from a a party person (or whatever) to an adult and upstanding citizen?
How often has MSM targeted otherwise solid candidates by pointing out all their early life moral failures to the conservative community? And how many in the conservative community lapped it up and threw more fuel on the fire?
I've gotten pissed at lot of people over the years for being so shortsighted that they couldn't see why the best candidate never made it past the primaries, and now we have to do damage control to avoid a worse situation. Even worse are the so-called moral leaders (I could drop a few names here), who made sure all their followers knew the moral shortcomings of a popular candidate, and speaking out against them, which cleared the path for far worst candidates to be elected to office. Sorry, we're not voting for the pastor of the church.
