#2-I am more convinced than ever that your children should not go to college. High schools need to go back to teaching vocations: welding, nursing, culinary, basic accounting, art, etc. parents need to be actively involved in schools. Parents must be the ones to sit on school boards-background check everyone before being offered a job, that includes teachers, janitors, bus drivers, principals, cafeteria workers, school board, superintendents. Every year a full background check of financials, social media, etc. #4-The professor will just move on to another like minded, accepting University. There is a mental health issue big time in this world. Even in the 1970’s it was obvious the psych professors had mental health issues. We all laughed about them thinking they were one big joke. #6-LeBron is melting down. He will never be the great he wants to be. He is spoiling chances for his sons too.
I agree in teaching practical skills but think that somewhere students need a strong education in the humanities (history, philosophy, religious studies, literature, arts) to have a broad understanding of the human condition throughout history in order to have a well-rounded perspective.
I think the main problem is “liberal arts” curriculum has been hijaked by wokeness. Even when I was going to college in the early 2000’s is was going that way. But I don’t see how a society can make progress if it is blind to its understanding of being and knowing.
I thought most of mine was a waste of time and money.
You know what they say: never stop learning
