My husband and I are over COVID now and I want to thank everyone who gave me advice. I took vitamin D, C, Quinine, antihistamine daily before getting covid, Ivermectin weekly after a more aggressive initial frequency to try to alleviate vaccine symptoms. After getting COVID I added in Bayer and black cumin. Edited to add that we both took zinc.
I also was vaccinated.
I'm pretty surprised that my husband and I both got fairly strong cases with fever and headaches being our most severe symptoms. Some lingering symptoms were fatigue and body aches. All in all we had a few bad days and then it was over.
I'm so grateful that we have a small rural hospital that allowed us to get monoclonal antibodies even though we didn't qualify due to a "shortage". Bigger hospitals seem to have a lottery even for people who quality. I think the antibodies made all of the difference. The fever and headaches were pretty bad. My husband got up to 103.5 and I had the worst fevers the night after getting antibodies. I was a little concerned that my oxygen % got down to 94% but after the antibodies I stopped testing and I am fine now. Honestly, it's hard to tell but I am not sure ivermectin helped me. Edited to add that we both had chills. It certainly didn't keep me from getting covid and also didn't help me once I tested positive in any noticeable way ... I guess I hoped I wouldn't need the antibodies.
I'm not sure what to make of it all but I am glad it is over!! Thank you for your advice -- I increased our dosages and added a few meds. I don't think I would have considered the antibodies if it weren't recommended here.
For me, the headaches was the WORST!!! It was way worse than any migraine I have had. But beyond that, it was like a cold or the flu - nothing out of the ordinary.
Hey, are you twitter's Tracy Bean??
Yes, the headaches were awful, truly. I was asked to describe them and ... it's hard. Just hurt!! Did you talk and moan in your sleep??? Apparently, I was saying some off the wall stuff. My husband was saying yolo. LOL.
No - I'm not on twatter. I don't think I talked in my sleep - but I recall the headache was awful!
Thanks for posting this. I too had the vaccine, (mainly because I was taking care of my 98 yr old mother at the time). I recommended that my younger daughter not get it and she didn't. Well, we both got the virus a month ago. Both had fever, around 102 for me, lower for her for 4 days. I had nightly chills. She broke out in a head to toe rash that they say is rare (1%) from an overactive immune system. We took nothing at all except vitamins, elderberries and zinc and were fine after 4 more days of being low energy. I don't think the vaccine made any difference but who knows. I've been taking elderberries with zinc and vitamins from early on in 2020. Still am. Other family members swear by the Regeneron (antibody) and also convalescent antibody treatment. All of them recovered and are back to normal.
Yep, I took the vaccine for my Dad. My sons seem to get their news from CNN and I couldn't talk them out of getting the vaccine. They're young and healthy.
I forgot that I have taken zinc the whole time also.
Now I wonder if we needed the antibodies. It's really hard to tell. Would it have gone away w/o that extra help? I'm not sure. My DR believes in them and many here recommended them. Who knows? I'm glad you and your daughter are doing well and others in your family recovered also.
They watch CNN, so you watch MSNBC then?
Do you have to go to the hospital to get the Antibodies? My husband has had a fever and the chills for about 1 weeks and all the symptoms. Are the clinics giving out the Antibodies? I don't think he wants to go to a hospital.
Awe, I hope he feels better soon!! My husband was pretty uncooperative too but once he talked to his DR he was sold and finally decided to do something about it. Yes, we had to go to the hospital. They have a "wing" in the hospital for the antibody transfusions only. You probably know that you can get the home test to see if he's positive. I forgot to mention the chills -- it was a symptom we both had. Maybe check with your clinic?? I'm not sure why he doesn't want to go to the hospital but we weren't formally admitted. No wrist band, etc. Just went to the ER for vitals and a visit with our DR then off to the wing for antibodies. It took about 3 hours. We had to stay in the room for an hour after the transfusion to make sure we didn't have an allergy problem. I'm sold on it.
Thank you what city are you in? We are in Minnesota so not sure if that will be the case here.
Im sorry you took the vaccine and I am happy you r family recovered from COVID. I will still pray for your family anyways 🙏🏻
What dose of ivermectin did you take?
After getting COVID I increased to 6 clicks. Before that I took 3. My husband was very skeptical so I gave him a low dosage.
Ok, 6 clicks would be what I would take for early treatment (I weigh about 140).
How many days? 5?
Yes, 5 days. I've stopped taking it now.
Ok, thanks. I have a friend who had just the opposite experience, Monoclonals did not help her but she then tried ivermectin and that helped her turn the corner. Seems everyone is different.
