Ok, script change. Looks like we own the media. Scratch that one off the counter insurgency list of to do's.
Probably filing as amicus... basically "friend of the court".
So, like... if one of the Three Little Pigs who was de-homed by the Big Bad Wolf sues him in court, Little Red Riding Hood has standing to file an amicus brief that stands in support of the pattern of Mr. Wolf's bad behavior by recounting the details of that time when Mr. Wolf ate her grandmother and is a general nuisance to the neighborhood.
They're on the same side in the case because they have the same goals, but that doesn't mean Little Red isn't still going to have a ham sandwich for lunch.
My understanding is that Bannon basically said "Not only do you have my permission to release the court docs publicly, I demand it," and the newsdroids are all like, "Oooh, yes please! We can use it to prove Bannon is a insurrectionist white supremacist! He fell into our trap!" while the DS is doing a full on Vader "Noooooooooooooooo!"
News is also made up of money hungry incompetent whores. I suspect they thought they saw tabloid ratings and website clicks and rushed in before waiting to see what their DS masters wanted.
Remember, it took the media around 24 hours to get their story straight and for the word to get out on which spin to use for a lot of Trump surprises (ie, tax reforms, North Korea, taking down Solhemeini and that other guy that tried to blow up a dog when they caught him, ramming trade deals down China's throat, Saudi Arabia, Abraham accords, setting up a withdrawl deal w/ Taliban that Biden screwed up, US becoming world's top oil exporter, lowest black unemployment ever, lowest black prisoner population ever, etc, etc, etc).
