Nobody is allowed to 'make it' when it comes to industries like finance (paypal). Elon is just another Zuckerberg. They get selected for success and are only allowed to stay in the game so long as they keep taking orders. Anons are just getting rich along with him and since they've lost all of their big brain idols to basic research he's their last ditch effort to cling to the narrative that all it takes is one really good idea to achieve that nu american dream. You don't get to suck at the governmental teat for free. SpaceX and Tesla are nothing without their welfare.
