I don't think she's simply grifting, because her views have evolved over time, though I didn't know of her real early on, I have listened to her the last couple years and they have developed at a steady trend and do not always reflect the trendy view of the day.
That's the whole point, she isn't a convert, she's a paid grifter telling us what we want to hear so she can sell books and boost her payday.
