God is in control of all things. Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."

The called are those who are saved, and a person cannot love God unless they are saved. Everything that is happening is part of God's plan. Those who are saved can rest assured that God will take care of them. Everyone else should be afraid. Their fate will be like the rich man in Luke 16:19-31.
