I love the tacit admission that this means the laptop is legitimate. Which we already knew. Maybe Lin is trying to elicit a misdemeanor doxxing investigation in order to enter the contents of Hunter's laptop into evidence in a local court. Lin is an extremely smart lawyer and wouldn't do something like this by accident.

I never thought about that! He really is smart. But what about chain of custody? A lawyer would know he just can’t walk up with someone’s laptop and say hey I found this stuff. I mean he would be blamed if they found something illegal.
