This is me(dave) at work. We restructured and I have a lead who has 15 years in a non related field in charge of me. Whenever theirs a problem he sends me an email ( I have a desk 5 feet from him). Dave get this fixed. Tada! Problem solved. I'm teaching a 20year old how to hold and use a Screwdriver. And my manager says I'm the problem. Surprise, all are diversity hires. No skills or background in our field. My only other veteran experienced coworker just was sent to a different shop. Why, you say, my new lead didn't like him is what he told me. And as a cherry on top, my manager says we are too expensive to keep around. They have successfully pushed many into retirement. I would love to know the numbers.
