Black Soldier Fly Larvae or miracles of nature. They digest almost every type of organic matter with 95% efficiency. What they leave behind is great earthworm compost.
They are highly nutritious and amazingly easy to cultivate.
They are my secret WTSHTF survival food. I haven't eaten them, and would only do so if starving. And sure don't want the deep state version!
Thats why we let chickens do the work, turning them into eggs and meat.

But in a 2 week turnaround, I can have enough BSFL to survive a starvation event. Of course, using them as livestock feed is optimal, but I will never starve as long as there is anything rotten for them to eat.
