What if John Rambo the role changed him forever, and he thought over the years since "i will defend this country like John Rambo", and he got a call from Trump one day saying "Rambo, we need you to be the force of freedom again", and he saluted and was like "Commander!", ready to do for real what he once did imaginatively? Could it be why Gibson also saluted?
