To be fair .. they did go way overboard with the buyback. Its one thing to get ex military weapons out of circulation, but when they also targetted 22s with magazines it was a bit ridiculous.

Bloody oath. Fear porn and a lazy citizenry allowed it to go through.

Plenty of weapons still around though, not on US levels, but if the shit hit the fan we are packing heat to protect ourselves.
