Holy Spirit please lead my hand, will You?
Exodus 5
"Reason should always be exhausted before wrath."
Father,
I'm angry; i am hurt; i will not lie, i don't want to pursue any longer. I'm tired, I'm bitter, I'm wary. How long must this go on? This heaviness is so unbearable at times i-
"Why are you using your arms to carry a load meant for your back? You see, my son; i gave you a spine to support your whole body. Your arms weren't made to work that way. Your spine is. When things are heavy, remember to bear that burden on the right member. Hold fast and know these burdens are not without purpose. I gave you arms to lift, legs to walk, a back to bear burden, a heart to feel compassion, a mind to seek wisdom. Gird your loins and stand; it is not over yet... you all have work to do. Now stand firm, my son, and do it."
Thank you for these words, Father.
May we all stand strong in Your Holy Spirit and bear our burdens with the right member.
May we reason before wrath. May we use our heads when we ought and our hearts when we ought. May we not confuse the two as i have done. In Jesus name amen.
Please bless this bread, the body of Jesus Christ , Your Son. Given for us
Please bless this wine, the blood of the new covenant shed for many the remission of sins; the blood of Jesus Christ.
May we eat and drink unto remembrance of the burden He beared for us.
May Your Holy Spirit be with us and in us the more, Father. In Jesus name amen.
In Jesus' name. Amen.
A wonderful communion message. Thanks once again for everything you do to keep us all on this glorious path. God is working on changing hearts and preparing us. I myself have went back and started reading my Bible over. I am reading the English Standard Version and it makes it more vivid and understandable. I am on I Samuel 11 right now as I have already gone through Genesis and up to this point. I must admit I never finished the King James Version as I could not understand it and would have to stop and ask myself what I thought some of the passages meant. But now I've found this Bible and am enthralled with it. It has a study guide and I can do comparisons to the King James. So I feel that the Lord led me to find this Bible so that I can actually finish reading his word with the understanding and some knowledge that I so desperately need. Just thought I'd let you in on how the Lord has moved me. God bless and have a wonderfully great day.
You too, Mary. I am happy you are reading the scriptures. I'm a kjv biased person myself xD. Your zeal to understand it is admirable. If you ever do desire to I highly suggest the Noah Webster 1828 unabridged dictionary; it was specifically written by Noah to pair with the kjv. It's a a wonderful tool to understand the kjv. God bless you the more with the Holy Ghost, sister. In Jesus name amen.
Thanks for the information on the dictionary. I had just felt God telling me to look into the blue paperback Bible that was given to me and I simply put it away and forgot about it. I've had it for over a year. Then out of the blue, God said...pick it up and read it. Well I found it and opened it up. I realized it was the English Standard Version and so I opened it to the Preface first. When I read that, I thought, I believe I can understand this. And so I started at Genesis; knowing most of it from what I had read and learned from church my whole life. And it opened up a whole new world to me. It has study lessons and everything. I would never have made it as far in the King James because I had to stop too often to interpret what I had just read. This one, I breezed right on through and understood every word.
My most knowledgeable thing so far is the saying, "As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord." I just found out that Joshua had said it right before he died. I asked my husband who said it; he has read the King James Version, but he couldn't remember who said it. It was good for once to keep some knowledge about the Bible that I had read and learned myself. Amen and God bless.
