That means you need a comma separating the two. My envoy, Ambassador

Grenell.

By omitting it and putting the title and job together, Grenell could be either envoy or

ambassador. He could be both.

An envoy reports to the President.

That omission of the comma gives Trump plausible deniability that he is still

POTUS. Not saying he is or he isn’t.

Grenell is his envoy and was his ambassador.

It’s very clever word play.
