I have a family member in the hospital/hospice, and need to book a flight from SD to AZ.
would love to fly without a mask, but guessing that's not possible. hopefully I'm wrong/you guys have some suggestions.

Unfortunately you do have to wear the muzzle on the plane & in airport. And that's why my hubby & I haven't gone to Nevada for a vacation yet, because I refuse to wear the mask. I might even have worn it for my husband because he has been super stressed lately and can really use the get away, but I seriously can't breathe wearing them and then have an anxiety attack (which the stress they say can lead to me possibly having a MD episode, that would really screw up the trip). I haven't worn them anywhere for that fact AND because I just flat out refuse to put one on. I will leave an appt or business if they say I need one.
Husband was even thinking of how to get me one of those oxygen machines (the ones you can take on the planes) so I would technically be wearing a mask covering my nose & mouth and still be able to breathe without having anxiety.
I had a neurologist appt yesterday and they had signs all over saying it was Required to wear a mask into the office, lol. Nope not happening, they would have to ask me to leave. A lot of the patients in the waiting room (big waiting room, lots of people) kept staring at me, lol. But not a soul even mentioned a thing to me, not even the nurses or doctor. The doctor already knows my position on masks, so I knew he wouldn't say anything, he said he agrees that they don't work.
yeah I'm kind of leery about anxiety too, to be stuck in a plane with no way to move. trying to find the shortest flight and a good seat. and I was really debating whether I should go or not, but when I called and found out she was in room 217, and then she said she 'yes' to me coming, I knew I had to go. amazing that we even have to worry about all the covid BS, at least the hospice staff sounded flexible.
Yeah it would be a long flight for me, like 4-5 hrs I think (that's for a direct flight), not counting time in airports. If we drove it would be like 2 1/2 -3 days there & same back depending how many hours hubby can drive, it's like going there just to turn around and hurry back.
