My neighbor passed away from that a couple years ago, what a horrible disease it is. He was only 55, before this he was strong and healthy and loved the outdoors. He only lived for a few years after his diagnosis, and he withered away to a shell of his pre-cancer self. He had the surgery to remove some of his esophagus, and after that could never eat normally or lay down flat to sleep. He was a really good man and great neighbor, I wish he could have gotten the true cure. He left behind 3 daughters, the youngest was 13 at the time.
And now a former coworker has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal cancer, another male in his early 50s. He had the surgery last week to remove part of his esophagus... and unfortunately I know what the next couple years look like for him. I really wish they would release the cure to the public to end all the needless suffering.
