Is it so impossible to believe that a system could be created that "lifts all boats".
Why does it have to be them or us?
Only a truly intelligent person or group of persons could craft a system that maintains freedom, creates equality, and preserves the rights of individuals.
It is just that no one has done it yet. They are lazy, greedy, and lack the intellectual ability to think so creatively. They are mud people, they lack the enlightenment required to devise such a plan. They are the kind of people who say "well, we have always done it this way".
Is it so impossible to be powerful and respected and bring true free happiness to people? Anything in the world is possible, one just has to imagine in and make it happen.
No, it just take the imagination of someone or someone's to design it. People who want to be powerful and rich, okay, people who want to live with respectable means and be left alone, okay.
However, one glaring thing must be addressed. We have let our population get out of control. We have let too many mud people pollute and destroy the riches of this planet.
Anyway you stack it, reproduction must be controlled. Not because of some totalitarian desire, but a desire to let this planet heal and live on. Reproduction must be a intelligent choice based on metrics, not just because it is the natural results from having intercourse.
Is population really out of control? How can we believe there are even really 7 billion people on the earth? Why believe the UN? Look at Bangladesh for example, they say there are parts where 100 million people are crammed in, but you look on google maps and it’s just low density farmland like you’d find in Idaho.
It’s in [their] interest to convince us that there so many people, because they can collect taxes to ‘help’ the imaginary people, and take our money for the climate change caused by these fake people. Those fake people can then ‘vote’ and it makes it seem like millions think differently than you. And then we sit at home worrying that those imaginary people will invade our countries and ultimately destroy us, etc.

Good point.
Once awakened, it is hard to believe anything we hear or see is true or not.
