The cabal may think they're keeping a lid on Maxwell trial by putting Comey's daughter in there, keeping 'unnecessary' leaks of compromising information on their human assets while they throw her under the bus and hurry up with burying this and memory holing it.

But what if putting Maxwell away opens up a door for Durham to proceed with something? We know he's closing in on the Clintons, and Maxwell was involved with them as well.
