Heart problems NEVER "just go away." The damage always lingers, just to varrying degrees. My daughter was born with a dysplastic tricuspid valve and an enlarged heart, as a result of the backflow of blood into the heart with the faulty valve.
She spent the 1st week of her life in the NICU on 100% O2 and under a UV lamp (for Vit D creation/absorption). The swelling went down and the valve started operating more normal, but she still has a "slight" heart murmur. She gets tired out quicker than other kids her age because of the damage to her heart while still in the womb. She just turned 11 on the 17th.
That girl is my life, my heart, and my miracle child. I am bound and determined to see her grow into a beautiful young lady with kids of her own someday. I owe God at least this much for saving her life. A TON of praying went into her survival as a newborn. A TON of praying STILL goes into her continued survival.
Needless to say, she WILL NOT be getting any of these clot shots.
The damage does not just "go away." Her cardiologist told us this much 11 yrs ago. He is the #1 pediatric cardiologist in Ctrl FL and the #2 cardiologist for the whole State. His expert opinion still remains to this day. It was either O2 and UV lamp treatment, or open heart surgeries every couple of yrs for the remainder of her life, starting on Day 5 of her life. He suggested the O2/UV lamp treatment first. So we went with his expert guidance, and have been blessed evey day since.

When I called him about his stance on theses clot shots, he reiterated the fact that heart damage is permanent, just to varrying degrees based on how the individual's body reacts with healing, the nature of the issue, genetics, etc. He told me, unequivocally, that NONE of his patients will receive the clot shots if his patients want to continue with his care.
My daughter isn't under his care any more, as she's relatively normal with no issues other than the "slight" murmur, (most people live their whole lives with a murmur and don't even know it, something like 60% of ALL humanity) but like I said, when it comes to kids and heart issues, HIS opinion is the only one that matters to me.
