I've read multiple explanations and even have seen claims River Phoenix is Mark Dice.

 River Phoenix is one of numerous Hollywood death fakers who transformed themselves into their new roles as part of the communist zionist controlled alternative media.

 Johnathan Brandis is Adam Kokesh
 Brandon Lee is Christopher Greene

 And there are lots more. The popular alternative media is a communist hoax operation meant to steer people who are waking up and steer them in the wrong direction. InfoWars was created by Ted Turner as controlled opposition. All the names listed above are simply actors playing new roles.

 There is a website out there called WellAware that features various Hollywood death fakers, however this website is a shill/hoax operation as well meant to muddy the waters and confuse people as well as to make the entire notion of Hollywood death fakers seem silly so that people will avoid learning about the real Hollywood death fakers.
