Sonic boom over Springfield Illinois. With a N/A Af1 737 near .

Used to happen all the time until they outlawed it. Would be so loud you’d crap you pants.

Of course the airplanes also produced disappearing contrails. We didn’t have the lingering kind as a kid. And we liked it.

This kind of thing (heightened military plane activity) seems to be happening all over the US lately. Maybe we're just hyper sensitive to it now but i really don't believe in coincidences

We've been getting them fairly often here in SW Missouri. The local news has been reporting that a St. Louis manufacturer has FAA permission to do some fighter jet Mach+ testing.

That 737-200 appears to be doing touch-n-go training.
