No, I think they (those on the left, or liberals or whatever might be the best label) think that "no" just means you want to be persuaded....or that you simply are not yet well enough informed.

I saw this many years ago in a government document analyzing resistance to "abortion freedoms" and the conclusion was that they simply needed to step up the education process regarding the need.
