But when he advocates the vax, the chorus doesn't react the same way.

Brainwashed leftists see him agreeing, and subconsciously they think something must be wrong. This evil, dastardly, horrible man - of course he must have some nefarious reason for advocating for the vax, they must think! After all, as far as they know this guy was advocating for drinking bleach. And all of their lefty idols were suspicious of the Trump vax before he left office.

Even if that subconscious inkling is enough to get them to start asking questions, that enough can be alone to redpill people in massive amounts. That second of mental hesitation is all we need to cause a glitch in the programming that eventually unravels the whole thing once they start asking questions.
