Frens…. I have limited friends due to my positions on where I think we are in this movie - still so many people still in the ‘Matrix’. - I choose to isolate even though I am naturally social - this has been a tough adjustment for me … Ya see I have trouble being around people who spew disinformation about a virus that is no more dangerous than the common cold… and As if on que (no pun) my cousin decided to cancel Xmas this year because the media instilled fear and panic to the point of paralysis… I am so sick of stupid people! We haven’t had a family gathering in 2 fucking years!
When does this fucking END??
We haven’t cancelled Christmas, just can’t go anywhere do to work constraints. Doesn’t feel like Christmas though.
My parents are the only ones still alive and they are in their 70’s and 500 miles away. Hopefully get to go in January.
We stayed away for 13 months in the beginning of this crap (Dec 2019-Jan 2020, both of us had it right before it hit the news in Jan 2020), just in case. I didn’t want to get my parents sick, then have them die. I wouldn’t have been able to live with that. Then they both told me that when it was their time to go, it was their time to go and they would much rather chance getting sick and be able to hug me up tight and say to my face how much they loved me, than not see me in person. That woke me up in a hurry and I’ve been up there every couple of months sense January of this year.
We don’t have any grandchildren and never will. Both of our kids are married to spouses who cannot have children. That’s a blessing at this time to me.
My parents aren’t jabbed, neither are our kids or their spouse. My nephews, nieces and their spouses and kids aren’t either (my brother passed in 2009). One sister and her family are, but have refused the booster. Second sister isn’t jabbed, nor her family either.
But we are scattered in different states. Ones two states to the west, one is on the border of Canada to the north east, and my parents are one state to the east. Still an eight to ten hour drive, depending on the conditions.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
