When all else fails, drag Jesus into the argument with specious claims that doing what they say is equivalent to doing God's will. It doesn't amount to a hill of beans at this point, but for them it adds another ton of bricks to their judgment. God doesn't look the other way when people bring up His name for a cause, and in these days of swifter vengeance it would be better for them not to speak at all rather than claim God's support for their evil plans.
