Jesus Christ Founded The Catholic Church and St. Peter was the first Pope.
As shown in scripture:
Matthew 16:18-19 "You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church. I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
Ephesians 2:19-22 - So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the capstone. Through him the whole structure is held together and grows into a temple sacred in the Lord; in him you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
Ephesians 3:8-10 - To me, the very least of all the holy ones, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the inscrutable riches of Christ, and to bring to light [for all] what is the plan of the mystery hidden from ages past in God who created all things, so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the principalities and authorities in the heavens.
Colossians 1:24 - Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ on behalf of his body, which is the church
1 Corinthians 15:5-9 - That he appeared to Cephas, then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at once, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. After that he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as to one born abnormally, he appeared to me. For I am the least of the apostles, not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
John 21:15-17 - When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” He then said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was distressed that he had said to him a third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” [Jesus] said to him, “Feed my sheep.
Ephesians 5:25-32 - Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved the church and handed himself over for her to sanctify her, cleansing her by the bath of water with the word, that he might present to himself the church in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. So [also] husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one hates his own flesh but rather nourishes and cherishes it, even as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body. “For this reason a man shall leave [his] father and [his] mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” This is a great mystery, but I speak in reference to Christ and the church.
Ephesians 3:21 - Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Now knowing Christ has a Church as shown in the Bible, Unto him be Glory in the Church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. How do you worship in the Church mentioned here when you are not part of the Church Christ founded in the Bible?
In these bible verses, we see Christ starting HIS Church. This is the Word of God. Many pastors will go against the Word of God saying Christ did not start a Church. We do not care what pastors say, we go by the Word of God. If your pastor contradicts the Word of God, it is their word vs the bible. That should be a sign that you are not in Christ's Church written in the Bible.
Matthew 28:19 - Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit
Baptize all nations, Jews and Gentiles, this means Universal, all people.
The Word Catholic means Universal.
The only Church that existed in 33 AD is the Catholic Church, as it is Apostolic.
In year 107 AD. St. Ignatius of Antioch, Student of John the Apostle wrote:
Wherever the bishop appears, there let the people be; as wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church. It is not lawful to baptize or give communion without the consent of the bishop. On the other hand, whatever has his approval is pleasing to God. Thus, whatever is done will be safe and valid. - Letter to the Smyrnaeans 8, J.R. Willis translation.
We clearly see the first Christians after the apostles call Christ's Church, Catholic.
Christ's Church in the Bible was and still is a visible Chain of Command with Christ at the Top, Founder, Lord God, Savior who chose men, the Apostles.
Peter, who is called Cephas was given the Keys to the Kingdom of heaven which symbolizes authority God gives him.
Christ's call to build His Church on Peter and the Apostles came to be as shown in the Bible.
Acts 5:12-16 - Many signs and wonders were done among the people at the hands of the apostles. They were all together in Solomon’s portico. None of the others dared to join them, but the people esteemed them. Yet more than ever, believers in the Lord, great numbers of men and women, were added to them. Thus they even carried the sick out into the streets and laid them on cots and mats so that when Peter came by, at least his shadow might fall on one or another of them. A large number of people from the towns in the vicinity of Jerusalem also gathered, bringing the sick and those disturbed by unclean spirits, and they were all cured.
For 2000 years there has been an unbroken line of Popes from St. Peter to Pope Francis today with divine teachings and doctrines that trace back to Christ and the Apostles.
This includes the fact that the Catholic Church also wrote and compiled the New Testament of the bible. St. Peter and St. Paul are both buried at Catholic churches in Rome.
No other Christian Church, denominational or non-denominational can claim this.
