16 Then Herod perceiving that he was deluded by the wise men, was exceeding angry; and sending killed all the men children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the borders thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men. 17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremias the prophet, saying:

It's an interesting occasion to me for many reasons - that infanticide existed back then, and still is a problem today with abortion
also about how positions of authority and government powers are abused, etc.
edit: also the world being in conflict with Jesus even at His birth until His death
The same thoughts occurred to me today. I’ve read that story for years, but only today did I think how much it reflects the present situation in the world.
