There's nothing wrong with bring informed. I have found that "kicking the can down the road" is a much easier pill for them to swallow (Haha! See what I did there?) Than to flat out say no or worse challenge their credentials. "Oh, I didn't know there would be shots today. I haven't really had a chance to read up on that one yet. Could I get an info packet before we do that?" Whatever you end up deciding it's going to be Russian roulette, so to speak, with the long term effects of either the vax itself or catching the disease. If you haven't already, I encourage you to read Dr. Suzanne Humphries' books on the subject. There's a couple of other really good ones out there that the names escape me at the moment but they --oh what is the name of that one book?-- that presents both sides of the coin, so you as the parent can make the best informed decision for your child. It was written by a pediatrician. My books are packed right now but when I think of it I'll post it, if someone doesn't beat me to it.
Aviva Romm. The book I was thinking of is by Aviva Romm... Vaccinations: A Thoughtful Parent's Guide: How to Make Safe, Sensible Decisions about the Risks, Benefits, and Alternatives. I apologize, she's not a dr/pedi but a midwife and herbalist. She's written several other books too and they are all excellent, informative, and balanced.
