Since you asked…
The normie explanation is that if Q was just a troll, he probably recognized exactly what would happen should his very enthusiastic and curious supporters should turn their investigative efforts to definitively identifying him.
Let’s say that someone trusted around here found absolute proof that Q was Ron Watkins or some other equally unimpressive nobody. After sacrificing friends, family, jobs, and even freedom in the belief of Q’s plan and maintaining faith in Trump based on Q’s words, you all see incontestable proof that Q was nobody with special clearance, nobody with special access, and that all of his proofs were pictures ripped from obscure photobuckets and confirmation bias.
What happens here as a result?
Maybe you guys shrug and say, “Well, shucks, I guess I got fooled. I suppose everything I thought made me smarter than everyone else was a lie from a 20-something year old. Back to my old life.”
Or maybe Q was worried about a more irritated response from the people who in many cases dismantled their lives on the hope provided by his promises.
People like Lin Wood and Mike Flynn can get away with being wrong about their predictions, because you can write them off as not being a Part of the Plan. But if Q dragged on posting and nothing ever happened, you can’t just write Q off.
If things looked in the world the way they do now, with Biden in charge and Maxwell being convicted with a whimper and the military not taking over, AND Q was still posting, would you guys still be having faith with continued assurances that NCSWIC?
Or would you be losing faith in him the way that this board has split over most major figures in your movement?
The absolute smartest thing that a troll Q could do is stop posting when he did. It keeps you guys from being able to confront him directly on why things don’t seem to be progressing much, and reduces the number of clues that would give him away as a fraud. At this point, without evidence either way, you guys can keep the movement going on indefinitely without risk to Q himself.
I would suppose Q is afraid of the same thing normies are: not about the possibility of the Plan coming true, but what happens when the Q movement realizes that it won’t.
What would count as incontestable proof? A post with his trip code? That could mean the account was compromised.
You’re correct.
Which, again, is why a troll Q would have stopped posting. Because at this point, there is literally no way for Q to be “defeated” as long as he keeps his mouth shut and prevents any of you from confronting him anymore.
Many would not trust another Q post from his account.
Many would not trust if the FBI definitively unmasked or arrested him.
Many would not trust anyone coming forward and claiming to be Q.
Many would not trust any outside investigation or conclusion.
Regardless of who actually typed those words, there is not a single thing that could happen that could convince most people here that Q is anyone other than a team of super-spies or military operatives. Any proof of anything else would be dismissed as disinformation from the White or Black Hats.
And as long as that’s true, as long as you guys refuse to seriously consider the possibility that Q is just a fan fiction relying on confirmation bias from a frustrated fan base, then any troll responsible would be quite safe from ever being discovered for what he actually is. At least by anyone from within the Q movement.
