Anybody able to explain why this board is pushing the metaverse is gonna turn us into a dystopian society narrative? VR games have existed for a while and their flavor of the month status has come and gone many many moons ago on sites like Twitch/YT. The NPCs on those social media sites are already pretty far gone if they haven't figured things out by now. I just don't see how this changes much other than being a marketing boost for FB.
