If a tree falls in the woods and there's no one around to hear it does it make a sound? The literal answer is of course yes. The tree is real and sound is real so if this actually happened a sound would be the result.
Now, if the just course of action was taken in a secret court trial (child rapist tried in military tribunal and sentenced to death.) was justice served? Yes, just because you didn't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen. You can call it un-American but it's still justice.
These comments are the definition of "dooming". When faced with a lack of information you can choose to believe everything that's happening is bad or you can choose to believe that patriots are in control and the right things are happening simply waiting to be revealed. The dooming gets even worse since it's not a 50/50 shot. Military intelligence has told us what's happening and laid it all out over the years. So now we have reason to lean towards good things are happening yet people still push doom and gloom.
To end, I'll say you're right that it's un-American and antithetical to liberty. It's not unjust by default though. Justice doesn't need to be transparent to be justice (genuine proof of a crime and a fitting punishment). The problem as you point out is that it's all based on trust and you have no way of knowing if it's actually just or not. The issue with your point, however, is that no one is arguing for trials to stay in the closet forever, but if keeping things secret at the beginning is what needs to happen to prevent half the country from going apeshit at a "military coup" then that's what we need to do and allow time for, at least for the time being (not forever). The end goal and hope is still a massive awakening where everything is laid bare and the bad guys are all rounded up and punished. This likely needs to happen in one fell swoop which, on top of preventing a leftist freakout, will also prevent any of the bad guys from getting a heads-up and the chance to say "oh shit my partner-in-crime is getting tried for treason, maybe I should haul ass out of here".
