Reporting from Knoxville, TN. Last night (New Year's Eve) I had to go out to my Friday night AA meeting. You should know that this meeting, in a church, is located about 80 yards from a craft beer venue and it is usually JUMPING on a Friday night. Last night, however, there were only 5 cars in their parking lot and a few diehard drinkers there ....it looked almost deserted. And further, the roads last night were almost desolate with very little traffic. I don't know where all the people were, but for a Friday night -- and New Year's Eve to boot -- west Knoxville was almost like a cemetery.

Where's all of the green wienies decrying the huge waste of paper? How many trees died for this one night of debauched revelry? Blah, blah, blah!
And, by the way....why does the crystal ball drop down, rather than ascend up?
Anons know why.

15" of snow here with frozen pipes and no water! Not much to celebrate but I did hear some diehards shooting off some fireworks last night.
