Not sure about that antibacterial, however Nicotine binds to the Ace2 receptors thus blocking the covid spike proteins. Much of the research is memory holed or deleted now. Archived at webmd https://www.webmd.com/lung/news/20200430/smokers-hospitalized-less-often-for-covid-19
