We both know I said nothing about throwing half the bible away, only that I have good reason not to trust Jewish scripture. I think the OT is an interesting and dangerous historic record of Jewish law and misguided culture, but it shouldn't be trusted because it is NOT the One True Path to Salvation.
Interesting how many Old Testament scriptures are referred to in the New Testament.. and not in disagreement!!
Luke 24:44 Jesus states He came to fulfill all that was written of Him in the law of Moses, And in the Prophets, and in the Psalms…… all RED LETTER… certainly doesn’t sound like He was calling it dangerous or misguided..
You can believe whatever you want, but this is direct contradiction to what Jesus Himself said:
Christ Came to Fulfill the Law
Matthew 5:17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 19 Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
Correct Jesus came to abolish the Law ( old T ) not saying to throw half the Bible away it’s imp for many reasons but we live under a New covenant

We can both agree that Jesus didn't come to change a single dot or single jot of Moses' laws, but to permanently end them.
Judaism a.k.a the Old Covenant was ended by God.
