Is it selfish to give up your job, your IiveIihood, your hard earned pay, your career, even your house or your business to speak out against something deemed verboten? To try and help people understand the situation better by taking a stand? Sounds pretty selfless to me.
Is it selfless to hold onto your job, to take a jab when most of us have had at least one (regular ones) by now that costs nothing, something you don't believe wiIIaffect you, to work while others can't, to be able to go places others can't, to be able to do fun things others can't, to get paid when others aren't, so you can sit comfy and berate others who don't have that luxury? Sounds pretty selfish to me.

Punk is the cool idol in the mind of the heathens so you can't assume a mantle of coolerness against it except certain niche subcultures. Normie tribes inherently regard the punk archetype with appropriate status reverence.
