I'm pretty sure cancer has been cured. But the cure would destroy big pharma. We'll never see it.

Thought experiment. You're a researcher and you discover the cure for a disease that you bosses make billions from. What do you think would happen to you? Do you think you'd be a hero? Do you think the Board of Directors would jump for joy? I think you'd be dead in under a year and your cure would die with you.
