Hi, I live in North Carolina and I was just without power until 6 am this morning all the way til 6:30 at night. It fucking sucked. A big tree hit my side of the power grid so it was extra tedious to get everything running due to the damage from the large tree. I appreciate all the hard work from the men & women who worked day in and day out to get our power back though. Much appreciated. Is there going to be more blackouts? More outages to be expected? Are they conjuring up these storms? Just had wind, rain, ice, and snow all in one fucking day. It had me scratching my head like.. wtf??? Winds was 50 mph last night in North Carolina! We never get wind or storms that bad. (At least where I’m from. I’m not from the beach area of NC. I live in the Triad.) Then after it thundered, stormed, knocked down trees.. it iced/rained/hailed and then it snowed. It didn’t stick but it came down pretty hard. Is this normal weather or weather manipulation? It seemed organic to me with the whole trees being knocked down by wind and storms but seriously…? Ice/Rain and THEN SNOW all in one fucking day. It hasn’t even been 5 days into 2022.

Certainly bears some ..HAARP pondering ..yes? Thinking the very same as my back aches from shoveling out the highly irregular 10 inches we got in N Virginia today...
I just left NOVA and missed it. Wife wasn’t so lucky.
Sounds exactly like what us Texans experienced last February. Except ours dragged on for 4-5 days.🙁
Oh I have gas logs in my home. We stayed warm. And I played ACNH on my switch for a few until I got bored. We are so grateful to have the power back on. My room is morgue level cold.
Linemen are some tough dudes.
LMAO!!
Were you without power too?
Just over 17ft of snow. Yes, recorded snow fall. It’s going to be a good year. Watching the next run of storms coming in over the mountains. Power is up and down. Still have some can ham and beans. Not ready to do a Donner party run yet..
Trump set up FEMA before he left, now I know why. Yes these storms are weather modification I'm sure. The tornado in Kentucky stayed on ground 2 hours which is not normal. Wisconsin doesn't get tornadoes in December.
We're down in the deep south and had unusual snow fall and stick as well. I haven't lived here but a couple years so I asked locals if this was normal. They said it wasn't normal for it to stick like this. We didn't get feet but we're blanketed. I think we're supposed to get more Thursday and 16 degrees. It went from almost 80 to 25 overnight.
Sounds like a typical new England nor Easter in the coastline. Just a little further south than normal. We had one like that this fall a little earlier than normal.
Little ice age decade from sun spots ? cooling some areas maybe?
Upper new england had been getting 8+ snowfalls for a long time
Yes but It is normal winter weather. What I meant is that climate is getting colder elsewhere due to sun so it could be a new normal there. Op seemed amazed at the confluence of all that weather in one day.
Lost power for two weeks last winter in oklahoma,I stayed their the whole time, but it was tough. This year I have a generator and backup heat. It taught me a lot,I've been prepping a lot.
Yeah, it was crazy. I’m in NC. My home in DC got 11” of wet snow. Lots of accidents. Power outages. They never brined the roads.
This sounds like the storm that barreled through CO last week, winds started a wildfire, the winds hit 100 or more, blew through destroyed 990 homes, then snowed the next day, absolutely scary.
I lived in NoVA for 45 years. I'm not even sure I remember a 12" snow which came out of nowehere. Interestingly, the pattern wasn't dissimilar from the patterns which have launched cat 4 and 5 hurricanes at the panhandle of FL. I wouldn't be surprised if a storm like this can be HAARP induced, though I saw a recent post which claimed HAARP to have greatly reduced capabilities as of late. And of course, VDOT/Coonman were caught with their pants down. It's a fucking disaster there right now.
Now this is starting to look a lot like ... https://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/nationworld/ct-aud-nw-nyt-colorado-wildfire-investigation-20220104-valhtqdmkfcuhc2vpez7zuxpny-story.html
Also in NC off a lake and it was crazy with wind last night and today. 60+ gusts every 15 mins or so. Today back yard flooded but drains down to lake area. Looked like a 6 foot wide river in my backyard. 2 weeks ago lake was drained to unusually low levels. Lowest I have ever seen living here for 10 years. Boats on docks nearly beached.
Oh shiiiiit.
