There are certain portions of the code if you will that are used in HIV, but my understanding of that is like building a car, some blocks get reused. Looking at COVID genome is kind of like seeing '08 Bullitt Mustang rims on a '19 Mustang. They're distinctive but they don't mean the two operate identically.
