How have they convinced people everything is political? What's political about dying of adverse reactions to an experimental drug?

I was trying to explain how inflation works to my mother and aunt because they still think things are getting more expensive, not that the dollar is worth less. But I guess basic economics is too political also.

But if we aren't to be so political, what about the left making biology political?
