Did you know that our schools were allotted $5.5 billion in Covid and ESSER (state + federal) funds? AND, we've only spent about $1 billion of it? Some of the amounts are appalling.

Wake - $370,913,396
Guliford Co - $331,409,809
Forsyth/Winston-Salem - $247,991,789
Apparently they have until 2024 to spend the remaining $4.5 billion. On Covid. How? Unless we all keep testing, tracing, and masking our kids.
After a FOIA request was filed with Moore county, what we found out was the money was hardly spent on anything Covid related. Of course.
Let me know if you're interested in filing a FOIA request in your County. I'll send you everything you need. I hate Cooper so much, and I don't know how else to take him down, but I have to believe this might throw a wrench in his plan.

REMINDER - This is COVID dollars. In addition to your tax dollars. What are your taxes paying for if Covid dollars are paying for teachers' salaries and bonuses?
