I just did a write up on another post about abortion. While I'm no fan, I think Georgia got their law right in that before 2 months your good to abort pregnancy. But no exception after 2 months. I don't have the full details in the article about how ling this women's mother was pregnant for, but if it was after 2 months it makes this a shame for what happened.
I appreciate those who believe life begins at conception but I also think there's a place for serious cases of rape or incest. Hey look I know there are success stories from people of that situation but I can't get behind that because of how hanius an act rape or incest are.
This woman's mother was dumb and probably should have carried the child to term since it was consensual. However I like I said I think Georgia abortion law actually has the perfect in between for deterring false rape and those who may have been to get an abortion.
Quite frankly I think this has to be the compromise of all life begins at conception supporters because even you have to believe that this just encourages sexual predators if you outright ban abortion.
One of our sons thought that abortion was okay for pregnancies that result from rape. He called me one day to tell me about a 50-something year old woman he met while tending bar. She told him her mother's story. Her mother had been raped, pregnant and planning an abortion. On her way to the clinic, the young lady passed some Catholic nuns, who noticed that she was crying. The nuns ended up taking her home with them and caring for her until her baby girl was born and placed for adoption. That woman grew up, had children and grandchildren. She was a real person, not just an idea. I thank God for sending her to open our son's eyes to the evils of abortion. Those aborted are real people, made by God and in His image!
a little death is okay? can't you idiots figure out that abortion is the CAUSE OF ALL THE SHIT WE'VE BEEN GOING THROUGH FOR THE LAST FIFTY YEARS? How many more do you want to kill for satan? A women is empowered by protecting her children, not killing them.
Ok I reread my post and I know I was all over the place. What I'm trying to say is if you believe "life begins at conception" The framework for a law that might get feasibly passed is what Georgia passed. Also the bold and chivalrous idea of protecting that unborn child, does have unintended consequences if abortion is outrighted banned because you will therefore encourage sexual predators to potentially rape women more.
As a former fetus myself, I oppose abortion.
