I fear we are not utilizing all the tools available to us.
In every state, we have a right to at the very least detain another party if a crime has been committed. In some states suspicion of said crime is enough.
Although my dream is to arrest governor Murphy for treason, more realistically I suggest we get real comfy with child endangerment laws and the school system. We can make headway by focusing on schoolboards and local government.

Super high-value post for pedes who are looking for more ways to TAKE ACTION.
Actual rules from the state laws themselves. Lots of legalese of course, but if you want to do it legally this is how. Huge thanks to OP for digging this up.
Needs a sticky.
Thank you sir, though it was your questions about this that got the ball rolling
Illinois law seems unusually lenient. Sec. 107-3. Arrest by private person. Any person may arrest another when he has reasonable grounds to believe that an offense other than an ordinance violation is being committed. (Source: Laws 1963, p. 2836.)
I would definitely cite the actual law first.
This is a good source for mass consumption but follow-up is needed.
Please show me a crimes code for suspicion! Is that a misdemeanor or felony?
