Hey man! Idk if my reply will get through to you as I ended up deleting my post.. But I hope you're able to read this.
I should mention that I'm actually south Asian (born in Nepal), so probably a lot closer to Indian than east Asian. However, everything you've said is spot on in regards to my own culture. And Nepalese are more shy/timid than Indians anyway, so all the more reason why I relate to what you wrote.
It is accurate to say we're highly obedient to our parents, and how that means many of us don't have a backbone. It's so unfortunate, and it definitely doesn't do us guys any favors to have been raised like this. I can see why your son would do really well with the Asian girls, in contrast to the Asian guys who are probably timid but also emotionally distant. So crappy to have a culture that makes you that unconfident in your emotions. The Asians in my high school were all timid as well (except for one that I remember). People wonder why I didn't go to uni despite getting good grades, and it's because I was tired of having my timid personality contrasted by others' more confident personalities. It was important to my mental health to stay out of uni for this reason.
I've often pondered why white people truly excelled at developing the world, and it makes sense if they come from a culture where parents encourage critical thinking, having ones' own opinions, and emphasizing the importance of expressing emotions (like hugging)! Woke culture enables people who grew up in oppressive cultures to then turn around and blame white people for destroying the world.
Thanks so much for getting it, and being one of the extremely rare few who will say the truth, even when there's so much taboo surrounding racial differences. There's nothing worse than coming from a culture that emotionally stunts you, and then having white people say there's nothing wrong with your culture. Like they're having their cake and eating it too.
